Dave

I have been with the company 12 years and during that time have worked in all departments with the company starting in 1998 as an order picker. Then in 2005 took a territory manager position for 2 years . Moved back into the warehouse in 2008 as the ware house supervisor where I remained until 2011 when I became branch manager. During my time with APD I have met lots of wonderful people and basically became

a man by having 2 great son’s and getting married. During my time away from work I enjoy golfing, watching hockey and football ( riders suck) and hanging with the family.

Joanne
I have been in the Automotive Industry for 23 Years now as a Partsman. I started with Canadian Tire Store’s and worked the Back Parts Counter. There I learned to hone my trade and worked my way up the ladder to work for the Canadian Tire Corporation in a division called Express Auto Parts. I worked on the Help Desk for Store support as a Partsman. I left Canadian Tire Corp. in 2001 and went to work for

Independant Parts Suppliers in Calgary and currently in Edmonton, AB. My most gratifying moments in this industry came when I found that "hard" to find part for my Customer!! I have always had an interest in Cars and my Father taught me alot of the mechanical skills that I have today. I am proud to say that I can do most of the work on my own vehicle. My interests are Softball, Golf, Camping and Fishing.

Mike
I have been an automotive partsman for 12 years. I have gone above and beyond for my customer by delivering a much needed part after work. Interests are boating, camping, fishing, quading and tinkering with my classic chevy pickup. Oilers games and CFL football are a must see!

Marc
I have been in the parts business since August 2010, but have past experience with industrial supply and fleet. I do enjoy doing a little wrenching myself! Almost everyone in my family is involved in something industrial, automotive or heavy equipment, so I have always been surrounded by anything with an engine. If man built it, man can repair it and finding things that will get stuff back in operation (even if not necessarily the intended application) interests me!

Nizar
I have worked in the Automotive Industry for over 30 Years. Most of my experience has been with Dealerships, including, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Mazda and Volvo. Although, I am new to the Automotive Aftermarket, I bring with me a lot of Automotive Parts skills and welcome all challenges that may come my way. I thoroughly enjoy working in the Automotive Industry and I take great pride in going the extra mile for my Customer. I enjoy watching Hockey, Baseball, CFL Football and Travelling.

Calgary

Cam
My career in the automotive industry started in 1981, stocking shelves in the parts dept. at Canadian Tire (oil still came in tin cans). Every chance I got I was on the parts counter helping out and learning the trade. Fiche machines and paper cataloques were the preferred cataloging method at the time. Eventually I was on the parts counter, then became a service writer and tower operator before settling into running the backs parts counter and then becoming the Automotive manager

for Grant Wallace at the Canadian tire in N.E. Calgary. I was at Canadian Tire in total about 20 years, 2 stores, except for a brief period when I worked for Grosser’s Automotive in Lloydminster, and also went back to school for a year. After Grant semi-retired and sold his store I left and went to try my hand at General Motors parts at Calgary Motor Products. I worked at the back parts counter there and then in wholesale parts for a couple of years before coming to work at APD.

Barry
Began work in Auto Parts at Grosser automotive in 1969. I worked there until 1972 when I moved to Silver Automotive. I opened my own store in 1978 and sold it in 2001. I stayed at Barry’s until 2010 as a sales rep. when the owner decided to close the store. I came ro APD in Dec. 2010 as a sales rep. and inside sales person. My hobbies include all sports especially golf and hockey. I have been an off-ice official with the NHL for 32 years as a game time keeper.

Karl
Began his career with APD in July 2009 as an auto parts specialist. His role involves looking after parts orders, maintaining and recording lost sales in order to improve inventory, and fulfilling client’s needs through problem solving to achieve exceptional client relationships. He brought with him 13 years experience in the automotive industry. Karl began his career as a parts delivery driver with Auto Value and quickly moved up to an assistant manger role.

He then moved on to Partsource taking on similar roles in their organization. Other experience includes parts work with Avenue West, Bumper to Bumper and Southgate Chevrolet where he worked in parts, dispatch and receiving.
Amongst the wealth of automotive parts experience Karl also worked as a tow truck operator with City Wide as well as gaining hands on experience as an apprentice at Franklin Auto Repair.
Karl enjoys the relaxed team atmosphere APD brings. He enjoys working with his coworkers at APD because they are knowledgeable, helpful and always willing to lend a hand. He also enjoys the challenge of sourcing new and interesting parts for clients when needed.

Doug
Since High School I have been involved in the Trades. I currently hold 2 trade certificates. I started out as an H-vac mechanic which I worked at for five years. The recession in the mid eighties forced me out of work so I entered the U of C. there I studied Engineering but eventually ended up with a degree in communications and journalism. From there I moved to the Grande Prairie area. The only work available at the time was running heavy equipment.

They constantly called on me to do repairs to the various units. This was something that came naturally to me. Not long after I was recruited by a local mechanical shop. There I completed my apprenticeship.
Having had enough of the north country. I came back to Calgary. I began work at a performance shop wrenching for about a year, when I realized my body was wearing out. They offered me a transfer as a Service Writer. Here is where I cut my teeth in the parts side and found I quite enjoyed it.They eventually promoted me to general manager. This went on for 5 years until I was recruited by NAPA. I was with NAPA for almost ten years. I felt a change was in order so I went on to Rocky Mountain Heavy Equipment. There I worked with heavy equipment parts but, found it was not my cup of tea. I then went to work for Barry’s Automotive and then to Pro body body Parts. When Barry told me that APD was looking for a partsman I immediately jumped on this opportunity. I have been here over three months and I think it was the best decision I have ever made.
