Mike began his career in the automotive parts business as a sales representative with Grosser Parts in 1986. When Grosser Parts closed their doors in 1991, he continued his career with Auto Marine. In 1995 he went to work for Chief Automotive, an AC Delco distributor. Chief was eventually purchased by Avenue Motor Works out of Toronto. Five years later Avenue Motor Works was purchased by APD, a subsidiary
company of Exhaust Master and Mike continued working as a sales representative. Before entering the automotive parts trade Mike worked in various companies and earned experience in both purchasing and the day to day management of business and personal. In his spare time, Mike enjoys camping and fishing with his family. He also loves spending time with his three grandchildren. Mike is also an avid sports fan and supports Edmonton Eskimo football and Edmonton Oilers hockey.
I have been in the parts business since August 2010, but have past experience with industrial supply and fleet. I do enjoy doing a little wrenching myself! Almost everyone in my family is involved in something industrial, automotive or heavy equipment, so I have always been surrounded by anything with an engine. If man built it, man can repair it and finding things that will get stuff back in operation (even if not necessarily the intended application) interests me!

Has worked in the industry for 26 years.Started in the warehouse at Davies Electric in 88, moved into counter and eventually took over sales for Saskatoon accounts. Transferred to Davies – Calgary in 96 and was General Manager when he left in 2001. Became a Partsource franchisee in 2001 and remained until all stores where bought out by Canadian Tire in 2013. Proud father of 2 teenage sons.

My career in the automotive industry started in 1981, stocking shelves in the parts dept. at Canadian Tire (oil still came in tin cans). Every chance I got I was on the parts counter helping out and learning the trade. Fiche machines and paper cataloques were the preferred cataloging method at the time. Eventually I was on the parts counter, then became a service writer and tower operator before settling into running the backs parts counter and then becoming the Automotive manager
for Grant Wallace at the Canadian tire in N.E. Calgary. I was at Canadian Tire in total about 20 years, 2 stores, except for a brief period when I worked for Grosser’s Automotive in Lloydminster, and also went back to school for a year. After Grant semi-retired and sold his store I left and went to try my hand at General Motors parts at Calgary Motor Products. I worked at the back parts counter there and then in wholesale parts for a couple of years before coming to work at APD.
Began work in Auto Parts at Grosser automotive in 1969. I worked there until 1972 when I moved to Silver Automotive. I opened my own store in 1978 and sold it in 2001. I stayed at Barry’s until 2010 as a sales rep. when the owner decided to close the store. I came ro APD in Dec. 2010 as a sales rep. and inside sales person. My hobbies include all sports especially golf and hockey. I have been an off-ice official with the NHL for 32 years as a game time keeper.
I’ve been around automotive all my life. My Grandfather owned a local short track in Cranbrook, I would watch my father race there when I was only 10. I’ve been around racing all my life and have even tried it out first hand. One year in Fort Macleod and one at Race City for a season of Street Stock racing. I started working in the parts industry in 2002 at a local Calgary Partsource up till the time I came to APD in October 2013.
I’ve been in the parts industry for 12 years now. Started out at Lordco in BC moved to Calgary to work in parts. I grew up around cars, trucks and heavy equipment living in a logging community.
